The quality of the door was excellent and the delivery went like clockwork. What would have really have helped me would have been: 1. clearer instructions 2. a screw to secure the door knob that was long enough i.e., the door is 35mm thick and the screw is 35mm long. I would definately buy this product again.

I had a bespoke requirement for 3 x bifold doors to fit in a conversion space. I thought that "made to measure" was bespoke. As there is reasonable "no returns" policy on "made to measure" doors, I tried to be careful to specify my requirements. I looked at the spec for the doors I wanted, and there wasn't a great deal of information so I telephoned Savoy twice to explain what I wanted, what I needed and asked specifically if the model I chose would work for me. I was told it would. I expected knowledgeable advice, and unfortunately this is the first let down -- I didn't get knowledgeable advice, only sales. On delivery the doors turned out to bve water marked, plaster marked and one side was peeling off. So the second let down was poor quality control of the finished product. It transpires that these doors were not bespoke; they were standard sized, purchased from Magnet (the barcode and part number still visible). They would've been cut down, and then a veneer glued on (not well, it was peeling off one door), to the open panel. So the third let down was that these were NOT BESPOKE BUT CUSTOMISED. The definition of "customised" is to take a thing and MODIFY it. That's why the doors were rather shorter than I expected, they had taken a standard door size (shorter than the maximum they have on the site) and just taken a slice out of them. The doors were hollow, with 3mm plywood faces. I wanted to put a squash court handle on them, so that the doors would be flat within a tight space. This required at least 30mm solid surface. A hollow door **can** cope with this If and Only If (IFF!) the LOCK BLOCK is big enough for the handle, and (for a CUSTOMISED DOOR) there is an indication of where the lock block (solid) is. So this is my fourth letdown -- it was impossible for the joiner to detect a lock block to mount my squash court handle, and we had to go with something entirely different. It is possible that the Savoy team was either just in too much of a hurry (for the price they could have taken the time) or sanded off the indicators for the lock blocks because it would also indicate the doors were cheap standard issue from Magnet. My joiner reckons he could have done this job for about 1/3 of the "Custom Built" price, using the same materials; and he is not cheap. The ONLY reason I give a single star to Savoy Timber on this is because on complaint, having furnished photos, and challenged what the value add would be based on a qualified joiner's assessment of the work it would take, they refunded me in full. This was a disappointing experience due to the fact that I as a customer **tried** to get it right and the "experts" didn't try to help me. It might have resulted in a sale for more money, and a much more positive experience. Sigh.

These doors were well made and accurate size, the problem I had the pre drilled holes for the pivots were to big so the doors were difficult to fit as there was to much movement to get around this we had to fill the holes with gripfill and push in the pivots which took a couple of days to set, once set the doors were easy to fit.
