Maurten products are based on hydrogel technology; made from natural alginate, pectin, electrolytes and carbohydrates. There is no added flavour, colourants or preservatives. The hydrogel technology encapsulates high concentrations of carbohydrates to fuel during acitivity and avoid stomach upsets. One bottle of Drink Mix 320 (kcal) contains 80 grams of carbohydrates. The absolute elite already use it! It is suitable before, during and/or after activity.

“Had one of these 320's three hours before a 9am start marathon last weekend (plus 3 Marten Gel100's during actual 3 hr race). Had no problems - didn't feel remotely like I was running out of energy! I shall use again. I recommend mixing with Volvic mineral water! Because water must be under 40 mg/L of calcium - Volvic is 12mg/L. All other bottled water seems greatly in excess of 40mg/L !!! Tap water varies enormously calcium content. Hence the reviews that say it don't mix well (read the mixing instructions on every packet guys!).”
