Mermaid Shower Panel Seal Bottom Profile 2400mm The Mermaid bottom seal is perfect for sealing your shower wall boards against your bath or shower tray creating a watertight seal to stop leaks as well as a mounting point for showerwall to be fitted. This shower seal bottom profile takes the place of the previous Transeal strip and has been improved upon to ensure the cut edges and the sealant can all be hidden away behind the front panel to ensure the sealant maintains its water resistance for longer. “Wish I hadn't bothered with this trim. It's actually designed for Wetwall boards not Mermaid and was a nightmare to use. The ledge the board sits on is so narrow its really hard to get the board onto it. There are no detailed instructions or videos at all for this 2 part seal. Recommend judge leaving a 3 to 4mm gap instead.”

Good afternoon Mrs Adams, We're very sorry to hear you had some issues with the two part base profile! While Wetwall and Mermaid are two different panel brands, they're both manufactured by Shore Laminates and offer the same properties across the matching ranges. The two part bottom profile purchased is designed to fit any 11mm laminate panel, regardless of manufacturer. They can be a little tricky to mitre in the corners but other than that they shouldn't cause too much trouble. The profile sits on top of the surface while the panel sits on top of the profile. Seal top and bottom in place with a bead of silicone and the second part should just clip in to place.
