Aquaseal Wetroom Tanking Membrane - 5l The Aquaseal Wet Room Tanking Kit System, by Everbuild, is the ideal product for use on showers, wet rooms and wet zones in bathrooms when waterproofing before tiling. It forms a permanently flexible watertight membrane and is non hazardous and solvent free. Aquaseal Waterproof Tanking Membrane can be used with underfloor heating, on plasterboard, MDF, Plywood, Cementitious Boards, Blockwork, Concrete and Speciality Wet Room Boards. Aquaseal Waterproof Tanking membrane is easy to apply by brush, is quick drying and can be tiled after 12 hours. Recent changes to British building Standard require that all showering and wet areas of a bathroom or wetroom to be waterproofed and tanking prior to tiling. This includes showers, wet rooms, wet zones and other areas susceptible to water and excessive moisture. Apply by brush (at least 75mm / 3" wide) in two coats which should be applied in different directions at right angles to each other to ensure full surface coverage is achieved with no weak spots. Apply the first coat horizontally and allow to dry for a minimum of 6 hours. Then apply the second coat vertically. As a guide the finished two-coat system, when dry, should have a minimum thickness of 1mm. Allow the second coat to dry thoroughly for up to 12 hours before tiling.
