“I had to do a lot of research to get the correct carrier to hold my two large electric bikes and have a decent gap between them. The rack is stepped so the bikes sit at different heights to each other which means there is more scope to keep pedals from catching etc

The carrier wheel holders are wide enough to take 7cm 3" Johnny Watt tyres. The wheel holders also subtract when not in use to reduce the width of the carrier for getting in to the boot etc.
The Yakima JustClick 2 carrier is perfect - the bikes do not touch, it is easy to operate and I can lift it myself into the boot of my Ford Focus.
The Yakima loading ramp is wide but has quite small lips and can twist - the bikes can still go over the edge of the ramp so you have to careful when loading.
I was able to source other brands of arms that fitted the ebike frames so each bike has two arms holding it.
There is not a sturdy storage bag for the carrier available, unlike the Thule bag, so I kept the box and changed the opening so I can store it in that.”
