“I bought these as we needed roof bars but were changing cars soon. As you can buy different adapters fairly cheaply these seemed like a good bet. While they worked for that they are very difficult to fit and don’t fit that well, making it much more likely to damage your car. Even taking them off is a pain. The instructions say you can unscrew the central bar which should increase the distance between the feet so the roof bar can be lifted off. However when I unscrew the bar, the feet grip the thread and therefore it doesn’t loosen. You actually have to take a foot off each bar to remove them, hence they’re a pain. These are cheap and you get what you pay for…”
