“Do beware. These are cheap but the build quality is not fantastic. I have purchased four and all of them do have something the matter with them. There are two issues I have encountered. Basically they come with a locking mechanisum - the key to the lock broke off after I locked it. The materials are plastic and thin metal - so it is no surprise this happened. The second issue is the plastic locking bolts don't always fully tighten. This is my primary concern with the product as you need to be able to tighten your bike to the rack in order for it to be safe and secure while travelling. I have found ways around this but the point I would make is the product should be right from the beginning and not need extra engineering to make it work.
I would summerise this product as adequate given the price point. I was able to buy four of these racks while others I would have needed to spend a lot more money (say £80 for one rack elsewhere). So I have saved a lot of money on something I don't use all year round. However if you are serious about carrying your bikes a lot (and I mean every couple of months) you should pay more and get something better built.”
