“This is a great towbar bike rack. The roll on and roll off makes mounting and fixing each bike really easy. I'd moved from a roof bar bike rack but lifting the eMTB on and off was getting to be a pain.
This is slightly heavier than some but its not noticable and its a very solid rack and feels very safe attached to the car.
Another 'benefit' for me is that unlike some towbar racks the fixing bar is central to the rack, so a bike either side rather than being close to the boot of the vehical and support bars having to protude outwards to fix to each bike. So if more than one bike theres very little possibility that carbon bikes will bang into each other or rub up against each other as the support bars run between each bike.
I do use plumbers pipe insulation in the grips when I fix the bike. This is so I don't place too much pressure tightening the grips to minimise when tightening to carbon frames.”
