“If you have watched a couple of YouTube videos and practiced at home then the AutoSock is simple to fit in the Aire de Chainage in a snow storm. The socks worked well on the drive up to St Martin de Belleville: good traction but about 15km up the road, the Gendarmes were insisting on either 4WD + Winter Tyres or Chains for everyone else so we had to remove and replace by chains.”
“They have worked well in frost, ice and snow which was 3ins. deep. The makers do say in thick ice or deep snow the are limited. They have proven to work well for short distances or getting you out off a stretch of snow and ice.”
