“Not sure why the Thule design department has this approach to foot design, I can only assume it's for a greater range of vehicle fitments. I have had a couple of earlier Thule bar sets on Mercs & they have been fantastic. These versions for the E class aren't that great, to be honest, & it's a personal option of course but the foot assemblies are pretty clunky & not that great in the way they fix to the bars or the way they adjust. The material quality is still amongst the best, but practically these are a bit of a disappointment I'm afraid.”
