“As a bike carrier, it does what it claims to and works very well. And from that point I would recommend… but there are caveats… Less impressive is the wind noise which is better than with cheaper models but still significant enough that I’m not really keen. Then there is the 5mpg drop in economy even with the most aero roof bars that Thule make. All in all, if you absolutely have to roof mount your bikes, this is a good option. Maybe once a year for the family holiday. But on the regular. I’d rather get a good boot liner and carry my bike in the car. An expensive learning curve.”
