A quick and easy outfit change whilst on the move has been made incredibly easy with the ability to convert your trousers into a functional and high performing pair of shorts. They feature detachable trouser legs above the knees. Simply re-attach the legs when required using coloured grosgrain tabs for incredible versatility and ease.
Our Pioneer Convertible Trousers feature large functional pockets, allowing the wearer to carry essential items needed on an expedition trip or while trekking. Including three external zipped security pockets to hold all of your important valuables, one of which has a concealed tri-ring for your keys or accessories. They also have two large drop-in pockets, both big enough to fit larger essential items, on the thighs of the trousers for maximum storage. Mesh lining allows these pockets to be used as a vent when open for extra airflow.
They are made using an advanced blend of strong Polyamide and Stretchy Elastane, offering an unbeatable combination of freedom of movement and great long-term durability and comfort. This modern fusion of fibres combined with Dynamic Moisture Control, a wicking treatment for enhanced breathability and UPF 40+ sun protection* provides protection against harmful UV rays, both keep you feeling cool, comfortable and protected even in hot and humid conditions.
Insect Shield® technology provides long-lasting, effective and convenient insect protection against most pesky bugs. It's bonded tightly to the fabric fibres and will retain its effectiveness throughout the life of the product.
*A Note on Sun Protection
All Rohan garments which carry our sun protection icon, have been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection. As a guide to the level of protection offered to covered areas, garments are awarded a rating of UPF 40+. Protection may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet; the reduction of associated health risks will vary with other factors such as skin type or individual medical history.
Insect Shield® Note
Insect Shield® technology converts clothing into convenient, comfortable and effective protection against biting insects. Each Insect Shield® labelled garment is treated with Permethrin, an invisible an odourless ingredient which protects against insects such as mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges. The treatment is so tightly bonded to the fabric fibres that it retains effectiveness through the expected life of the product – well beyond the limits of most fabric finishes.
