The Great British weather plays a big part in our outdoor adventures. This is why the Kendal Jacket comes with our renowned Barricade™. The fabric we use is waterproof, windproof, and breathable at the same time. Our innovative 2-Layer Barricade™ means the outer fabric is bonded to the internal breathable membrane, then lined with taffeta and mesh for added comfort.
Each of our waterproofs must stop a 20,000mm column of water entering whilst allowing 20,000g/m2/24hr of water vapour to leave. Our base 20,000mm rating is over ten times the British standard for waterproofing meaning you’ll stay dry, all day.
For those wet and windy days, the Kendal Jacket comes with our renowned 2-Layer Barricade™ and Durable Water Repellency (DWR) outer. The jacket's classic style and long length provide extra protection. The cuffs and hand-warmer pockets ensure warmth stays in and the bitter wind stays out, creating the winning combination for a cold winter's day. Details such as these make the Kendal Jacket suitable for all occasions, be it on the hills or popping to the shops during the colder weather.
The Kendal Jacket also includes a DWR finish, which creates a water-repellent barrier on the face of the fabric. This finish allows water droplets to bead up and run off the outside of the fabric, preventing the fabric from wetting out and the user from becoming uncomfortable. Along with our barricade membrane and seam taping, this creates a fully waterproof garment.
