The Kendal Jacket provides complete protection from the elements and is perfect for layering over a base layer, or a fleece for extra warmth. A great addition to your outdoor wardrobe, this waterproof is ideal whether you’re out exploring local rolling hills or travelling further afield.
The Kendal Jacket has our renowned 2-Layer Barricade Standard waterproof technology and Durable Water Repellency (DWR) outer to stand up to the elements on those wet and windy days. The classic styling with a longer length provides extra protection against inclement weather, whilst functional features such as adjustable cuffs and hand-warmer pockets make sure to keep the bitter wind out and the warmth in, creating the perfect combination for the cold season. Details such as these make the Kendal Jacket perfect for all occasions, be it on the trails or popping to the shops during wet weather.
The Great British weather plays a big part in our outdoor adventures, which is why the Kendal Jacket comes with our renowned Barricade Standard, which combines our latest fabric technology for being waterproof, windproof and breathable. Our innovative 2-Layer Barricade standard uses technology to bond the outer fabric with the internal breathable membrane, then lined with taffeta and mesh for your added comfort.
Each of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard, meaning they’ll stop a 20,000mm column of water entering whilst allowing 20,000g/m2/24hr of water vapour to leave. Our base 20,000mm rating is over ten times the British standard for waterproofing meaning you’ll stay dry, all day.
The Kendal Jacket also includes a DWR finish, which creates a water-repellent barrier on the face of the fabric. This finish allows water droplets to bead up and run off the outside of the fabric, preventing the fabric from wetting out and the user from becoming uncomfortable. Along with our barricade membrane and seam taping, this creates a fully waterproof garment.

I think this is a very good longer length jacket. I have worn it in very heavy rain and it has kept me completely dry. I would have given it 5 stars if it had a better less fiddley zip and they omitted the two rather pointless chest pockets. Apparent from that a very good fully waterproof coat / Jacket.

I bought the Kendal jacket less than a week ago and already it has been worn more times than I had anticipated. It has lived up to it's description and proved totally watertight even on a day with heavy and persistent rainfall. The cut is generous. I would normally take a Medium size but I found Small is just right allowing for plenty of movement If had to sum up in one word my overall impression it would be "delighted"!

The coat looks great and is mostly water proof however on its first test in the rain the sleeve cuffs were soaked in water and as the cuffs have no lining the water reaches your wrists, also some of the seams were drawing a lot of water….On being left to dry for 12 hours approx the coat was mostly dry accept the lower sleeves which were still very wet and the left sleeve was a little damp inside up to the elbow…… I’m not so keen on the angled upper pockets a bit impractical ….. having. said all this I will keep the coat for every day use in lighter weather … but difinatley not for long hikes or days/weeks away where extreme weather might be experience. ….. overall a bit disappointing for £260 coat
