The Women's Aran Jacket provides superior warmth from our fully lined Insuloft synthetic wadded insulation, which has an excellent warmth-to-weight ratio that is tough, lightweight, packable, fast-drying and easy to wash. Insuloft is tough, it re-lofts quickly after being compressed, maintains its loft through use and wear, and doesn’t lose any heat when it gets wet. Proven over many years by Rohan, it’s a great all-rounder, especially for active adventuring or the cold, damp conditions that are so common during the British winter.
The 2-Layer Barricade™ fabric on this insulated waterproof means that the fabric has two layers - a water-repellent outer and a PU hydrophilic membrane. These are bonded together and provide total protection from wet winter weather, so you can head out on a ramble through the countryside without giving a second thought to the unpredictable British winter climate.
Further protection comes from the single-point adjustment on the hood of the Aran Jacket, which will keep your head warm on cold weather hikes. Five pockets will keep your valuables safe and your hands warm – two lower zipped pockets are protected by flaps and secured by poppers, the internal zipped pocket is the perfect place to store your phone or keys, and two upper pockets are lined with a soft brushed fleece for added comfort and a touch of luxury.
