Women's Roamers Trousers Carbon Reviews

3.5 Rating 4 Reviews
Read Rohan Reviews

Made with our MultiFlex Light two way stretch fabric, our Roamers are still our most comfortable walking trousers.
They’re made from the same sophisticated blend of polyamide and elastane making them tough, stretchy, wind-resistant and light. They’ve also got Dynamic Moisture Control™ for high-wicking breathability and an internal elasticated waist for unrivalled comfort.
As always, they’ve got a nice understated appearance, but now we’ve gone a step further by removing the knee seam and softening the edges of the pockets to give them a cleaner look and a more comfortable feel. They’ll go the distance on the toughest treks, whilst not looking or feeling out of place when you’re bobbing around town or enjoying a meal in a country pub.
We’ve also added thoughtful features that will enhance your comfort and keep them looking nicer for longer. We’ve adjusted the belt loops to fit wider belts, as well as the zipped security pocket hidden within the front pocket to make it easier to access. To keep your Roamers looking their best, we’ve added anti-scuff tape to the hem to reduce wear and tear on tough treks.
Our Roamers are still the same comfortable and versatile walking trousers you know and love. They’re still perfect for year-round comfort. If you’re walking in Britain from spring through to autumn, you’d be hard pressed to find a better choice. And, if you’re wearing them in the high summer, you’ll be pleased to know they still offer UPF 40+ Sun Protection*.
*A Note on Sun Protection
All Rohan garments carrying our sun protection icon have been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection. Garments are awarded a rating of UPF 40+. Protection may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
Fabric: 94% Polyamide, 6% Elastane

How is the fit?
Fits small
True to size
Fits large
I have been wearing these trousers for years and so was pleased to see them available on the Rohan site at almost half price in my size and preferred colour. The Rohan branch in our city has closed so I paid to have them delivered, having no concerns about size or fit. However, the colour is not “Carbon” which I and most other people understand as black or, at a push, dark grey. These are blue. I’m keeping them as it’s too much of a faff to send them back, but am a bit disappointed that Rohan have changed the colour while keeping the name the same.

The trousers and quality are great but the fit for a short size 12 is far too baggy in the legs … not the same cut as previous Roamers … at least an inch too much material in each leg. Disappointed as have many others pairs of Roamers which are perfect fit.

Good deep grey colour. Good fit I’m 12 short, though still bit too long on me. I’m 5ft 2ins. Washes really well and is dry in no time!

I've been wearing Roamers for quite a few years. At each purchase there has been minor changes to the design. My most recent 12 Short pair fit beautifully but needed shortening by a good two inches - I'm 5ft 2in. My biggest disappointment is the tiny side pocket on the leg. It isn't big enough to take a phone or anything useful. What is the pocket designed for?
