The Hyde Mac is constructed using our 2-Layer Barricade Standard with a polyester face fabric and a mesh lining for total wet weather protection – even in the most challenging conditions.
Made from a high-performance polyester yarn that is surprisingly soft and incredibly strong with a natural, offering great freedom of movement and comfort in wear. It’s totally waterproof, fully windproof and very breathable. We’ve also given it a special Durable Water Repellency finish, which means rain beads up on the surface and runs off without soaking into the fabric.
There are two secure zipped drop-in pockets at the waist, which are perfect for your essential items. In addition, there is also an extra internal pocket, providing safe storage for your valuables. The Hyde Mac is incredibly versatile with a smart yet casual look, great for multi-use across a broad range of environments from city streets to weekend breaks.

“Great waterproof coat - shame about the hood. The coat is great - lovely fabric, great length, roomy enough for an extra layer underneath in colder weather. The hood however is another story - the adjustment is just round the crown of the head so cannot be tightened round the face and consequently just doesn't fit properly for me. It keeps sliding off or is too tight round my head. I notice that other Rohan jackets have adjustment both at the back of the head and below the chin (I think you call this two point adjustment) allowing for maximum flexibility. Given all the expertise of the Rohan team in designing clothing for the British weather I'd have expected a better hood on the Hyde mac especially for the money.”

“I purchased this raincoat about a year ago. An expensive purchase at full price (a gift voucher helped), but I have never regretted it. Technically excellent in wet weather, the detachable hood is roomy but can be adapted in windy conditions, and various pockets are spaciously handy. I have been told, several times, by a critical friend that the coat looks great too. I don’t often get this feedback on waterproofs. I bought navy blue. In summary, an investment but worth it, and versatile enough - suitable for more formal occasions, As a fairly short person (5’3’ ) it is long but saves buying wet weather trousers. Ideal for more urban walking but good enough for the hills too.”
