With a fresh look, modern feel and some great features the Weber® Q® gas range is better than ever! Regardless of whether it is the colourful Q® 1200 or the more substantial Family Q® 3200, throughout the collection there is undoubtedly a Q suitable for every barbecuer.
The Weber® Q® 1200 is a robust portable barbecue ideal for those who enjoy loading up the car or caravan and driving off for a camping weekend, picnic or even a day at the beach.
The hinged lid has an incorporated thermometer and like the body is made from cast-aluminium and built into a heat-resistant glass-reinforced nylon frame with built-in carry handles as well as two fold-away work tables as standard and is lightweight and versatile.
Preferred by many for their ability to retain higher temperatures for longer, the Weber® Q® 1200 comes with a pair of 32 x 21.5cm porcelain-enamelled cast iron cooking grates which are able to comfortably offer a 1376cm² cooking area.
Using the Weber® Q®1200 couldn’t be easier either. Whether you’re working with a disposable gas canister (26100) or have the barbecue connected to a refillable bottle using either adaptor kit (8524) or the 3 in 1 Adaptor hose (8482) - sold separately - once the fuel source is attached simply rotate the infinite control valve, fire-up by pushing the electronic ignition switch and wait just five minutes for the temperature of the stainless steel ‘Q’-shaped burner to get up, then you’re good to go!
The Weber® Q® 1200 comes with a modern and fully detachable stand complete with stylish gas bottle screen which also includes three handy tool holders located at the front. Also, for convenience, the frame of the barbecue allows a disposable drip tray (one included) to be easily inserted into position under the body to catch falling fat and juices.
The Weber® Q® 1200 is fully compatible with an easy-to-use collapsible cart (6557) – sold separately – to aid portability.
As with all Weber® Q® barbecues, the Weber® Q® 1200 comes with a 5-year limited warranty on the cast aluminium components (excluding paints), burner and cooking grates to give you one less thing to worry about as you cook up a storm for your friends and family.

Great little item, works on disposable canisters as well as big bottles, so perfect for a quick bbq in the back yard or for a camping trip.

We have a very small garden and this fits in very well, also very easy to use. I like the fact that we don't have to store a big gas canister. The only downside so far, we have used it twice, is that it does not have a warming rack so once stuff is cooked it has to come off while everything else is finishing. I am sure that Weber could squeeze one in if they really tried....

Good strong quality build and quite portable. Easy to use. Not really large enough for big BBQ's, good for 4 maybe 8 but would need to cook couple of items at a time, that's the compromise for the portability.

The Weber Q1200 is a very nicely built BBQ and looks good. It was simple to assemble, taking only a few minutes. In fact, reading the safety instructions before lighting the gas (I've never used gas before) took longer than assembly. The Q1200 heats up quickly and cooked our burgers and sausages evenly without drying them out, and they tasted just like they had come from a charcoal BBQ (minus the wind-blown ash effects!). The cast iron grill plates were easy to take out and wash afterwards. One bonus of the small slots in the grill plates is that you will never lose a burger or sausage through them when flipping or turning :-) Although use of disposable gas canisters is less cost-effective than a big refillable gas bottle, I like the fact that the Q1200 uses them. It will be much easier to store a couple of spares, in case we run out of gas in the middle of cooking, rather than having to buy and store a second large refillable gas bottle. I also like the idea of being able to put the BBQ in the car and take it to the beach easily, something we could never do with a traditional BBQ. The stand is useful, but a little disappointing. It has a plastic top, with flimsy plastic clamps to hold the Q1200 in place, and simple push-click-fit legs. Very expensive if you buy it seperately, much better to buy it with the BBQ as one item. OK, so it will be easy to dismantle and store over the winter, and easy to take to the beach, but not very sturdy. We don't have kids, but if we did I would be keeping a close eye on proceedings while the BBQ was on the stand in case it got knocked over. I was going to put up with putting the BBQ on the ground, or maybe build a small brick stand for it, but I am glad I got the proper stand, despite my misgivings above, because it makes it easy to cook at the right sort of height without bending down.
