All our teabags are made using a material called PLA (polylactic acid). It’s 100% plant-based and is industrial biodegradable.
While some brands describe their PLA teabags as “plastic free,” we prefer to be transparent and accurate, PLA is technically a plastic, just not the traditional oil-based kind. It’s a big step forward for the tea industry in making teabags more sustainable.
