SIL Long Range Receiver, 434.225MHz 
The R7 series are miniature narrow band receiver UHF radio modules, which enable the implementation of a simple telemetry link at data rates up to 20Kbits/s. These narrow band UHF radio modules provide a very high RF performance for general purpose applications.When combined with a T7 or T9 transmitter these modules obtain a very high performance of range and reliability within the 433MHz band because of the very high receiver sensitivity. 
The R7G genesis modules represent the latest generation of narrow band modules. They retain the same industry standard footprints and are fully compatible with the T7 and R7 modules to enable incorporation into both new and existing designs. The improved sensitivity of the R7G enables a range of up to 1Km.

My goal was to send telemetry data with three different pulse widths, so FM modulation was probably needed rather then pure FSK. Using Manchester coding and Checksum error checking, this radio TX/RX pair turned out to be perfect in long range and reliability. The receiver uses has a tuned narrow band 5 element YAGI antenna which also provides incredible distance when paired the awesome receiver sensitivity.
