Recallibrate:
To recalibrate the pinpointer, briefly press the button while away from metal sources. However, when on mineralized ground or saltwater, it's best to recalibrate while in contact with the ground. For more accurate target location, recalibrate near the object to reduce the detection zone.Includes:

“I wanted to upgrade to a rechargeable standalone pointer. Since using it I have a couple of issues. The button is flat in relation to the body and when handled with muddy hands its not easy to locate. The body is smooth, i miss not having a scrapper edge.”

“It has a sleek design and the red colour matches my detector, I have a Vanquish. The MI-4 finds the target with an easily understandable pitch audio which is not overly loud, this setting can be switched out to beeps if you prefer. You can turn off the LED light and vibration to extend the battery charge. I do like the internal rechargeable battery. The only slight downside to me is that the pinpointer requires a mini-USB cable to charge the unit but at the same time this is a more durable and hard-wearing socket compared to the smaller micro-usb alternatives. It just means I have to keep another cable available for use. Very pleased with the pointer, it helps me keep pace finding targets in the hole quickly.”

“A handy but simple device for detecting all types of metal at short range. I do not yet own a full-size detector and have scanned some dug flower beds finding only ferrous junk, but this has given me a taste of what could be hidden in the ground. It has just the one push button for all functions which are described in the supplied instruction leaflet. Targets are indicated by a choice of either pitch or pulse audio and/or vibration. Re-charge using the supplied USB cable. Compact and lightweight, weighing about 177 grams.”
