Field use suggests this coil is superior to my very old original 11 x 13” because the audio output makes it possible to predict what you are digging. It is a large coil by XP standards but searching on the X and Y axis allows really accurate pinpointing. It might be helpful to offer a discounted charging clip at time of purchase as an option. The clips do break even with careful use.

Only used my new 13" X35 XP Deus coil a few times so far, but I'm impressed with the clarity of sound in comparison with the original 13" coil. Much clearer distinction between targets, with less overlap and background blurring of signals. Looking forward to making good use of the 25kHz frequency soon.

Better ground coverage but minimal gain in depth compared to smaller coils but still very happy with it. Expensive piece of kit, but to a seasoned detectorist like me its a worthy investment

Early days yet, but seems very versatile, lighter than old coil, and lower + higher standard frequencies seem to deliver the depth and sensitivity hoped for

Having the black 9" and 11", and the 9.5" x 5" HF oval, I decided this 13" x 11" X35 would be an ideal companion. Suffering from a series of quite serious injuries to my back, neck, and hands, plus my left foot, and ankle at this moment (all broken), means that even with the other coils I could only detect between one and three hours depending on terrain, so I was a little worried that it would be even less with this coil, so I reversed the coil on the stem (A trick I learnt when in Germany using my GMP). I was pleasantly surprised to find I could detect longer with it like that. So now I've put it the "normal" way around, and will see how that goes. If it impedes my hours I can always swap it back the "wrong" way around. Depth is good, I would say program for program between 1" and 2" deeper on most targets than the 11", but more important to me, it increases the AREA, and cuts down the amount of movement need to cover that specific area. Sensitivity is excellent, again of course depending on program and frequency used, but I would rate it not far behind the 9", very close to the 11" (Which I rate also almost as good as the 9" and the best of the coils for general purpose searching. So, am I happy with my purchase, damn right I am, and haven't regretted it for one minute. If you find you are suffering back pain from using this coil, then I would guarantee you have it extended too far. bring it back in, the edge of the coil should miss your boot by 1", max 2" when you take a step, any more than that and you are over extending, and can suffer back/neck/shoulder pain with almost any coil, but especially with the larger ones. It's great for covering new fields and finding hot spots quickly.... Buy it now, you won't regret it.

Prior to using the coil I was slightly apprehensive about comments I had read about its weight and nose heavy issues. Having now used the coil for several hours I have realised that my previous concerns were unfounded as the coil is comfortable to use without any noticeable nose heavy issues.
