Hello Guy, I can shed some light on that for you. It's not always the cam plate that wears, the cam lever can also have wear, combine a little of both & changing one part wouldn't be successful, the early lower camlocks could also crack around the pin position, these are strengthened versions from around 7 yrs ago., hope that helps.

“Users have to pay a lot of money when the only piece of this Camlock needs changing is the friction block in most cases. The existing other parts of the Camlock perfectible serviceable. XP should sell the friction pads separately instead of making customers pay for items they don't require most of the time.”
