Note: Purchasing an additional coil for your detector is equivalent to buying a second detector for a very low price. You can use the first coil with your remote control and your wireless XP headset to control the second coil. “Upon assembling the HF coil, I damaged the connector and had to buy a new battery. Yes, this was partly due to my stupidity but also there is no key-way on the connector body or plug and when you are having to stretch the cord to connect to the battery its a bit awkward if you haven't done it before. I learnt that I am not the only person to have done this so this message is to XP: Its normal to have key-ways on connectors. I have been in the electronics industry for 40+ years and 40 years ago they had key-ways on connectors! The instruction leaflet is also misleading as it says something like 'This will only work with version 4 software' which was obviously the current version at the time of release. Now I'm using the HF coil it is the biz. Found a sceat & hammy in pasture first time out! Great for those much detected roman sites. Much thanks to Nigel at Regton for his help and advice and getting a replacement promptly.”

“I bought this coil with the hope of improving my detecting experience, unfortunately for me that hasn't done that. The 9in standard coil seems on non precious non ferris metals a better bet giving a much better signal on copper coins over 6in deep than the HF coil, on silver i notice no real difference in penetration or signal clarity. I fear i may miss some deeper targets with the HF coil .It may well work better on trashy ground ,but finding greater depth from 9in std coil than HF coil,disapointed. Using on V4.0”

“The deus HF coil is a great second coil to have. It’s definitely more stable in iffy ground and I haven’t experienced any difference in depth detection. The smaller head is a help in stubble and those hard to reach places. It’s lighter and makes the deus quite whippy and quick. It connects to the controller much faster than the stock coil on v4.1 overall I’m happy with this purchase.”
