“It is extremely useful that spare parts for the Garrett Pro-Pointer can be purchased at Regton Ltd. I still have the MK1 and have used it very frequently for the past 7 years. When the on/off switch of the probe broke down, I bought the electronic component of switch together with the rubber on/off switch button and speaker vent. It is not a straightforward job to replace the electronic component on the printed circuit board and to reassemble the probe afterwards. Luckily there is a lot of information available on youtube channels on how to do this. For very little money, my Pro-Pointer now works again like a new probe. For those of you who are not so keen to spend a couple of hours on this, Regton staff can service the Pro-Pointer too.”
