“Depends what you want to spend, probably if you spent double the price of this you will have a much better detector. I sometimes find the signal erratic, with all sorts of noises, when it behaves I have found some good finds, at reasonable depth. Probably the more you use it the better you may understand it. This will have to do me fir a while as I cannot afford an expensive one.”

“The Garrett Ace 400i is an excellent detector especially for a novice detectorist. I had never been detecting before and on my second outing found a medieval hammered silver penny. It is easy to use but the more advanced features will keep the experienced detectorist interested.”
