“After owning a Garrett Ace 250 for over 13 years i decided to purchase the 300i, was it an upgrade worth doing as the 250 is without a doubt a very powerful machine in it's own right. Apart from a few changes from the 250 to the 300i' the first noticeable difference is power in depth and handling trashy areas, the 300i performed floorless' even running on one bar ( batteries indicater ) this machine still ran perfect.. The key to all machines is to listen to signal sounds, the bell tone is not always correct as a trashy target laying on the surface could give a good ( bell tone ) and also the number readout is not always correct either so use your ears and use notch discrimination sparingly. So was the change from the 250 to the 300i worth it, it sure was as it's a machine that just keeps giving and through constant use it's easy to master for anyone.”

“Have recently started the sport of metal detecting and wanted a reasonable but not pricey detector that would do what I wanted but not break the bank. Researched and for my budget found Garrett to be what I wanted. Good reputation with a progressive range of detectors. Chose the 300i due to its improvements over the 250 and the fact that Garrett had improved on a steady design rather than putting out a brand new model. Regtons were excellent in ordering and despatching even giving a 10% discount on future purchases. Already taken advantage of that offer! It felt better to use a reputable dealer rather than chance an unknown seller on line who may be selling sub standard or look alike models from China that were not up to Garretts own standards. Thats just my opinion as I'm sure the majority of purchases on line are fine and genuine. Well pleased so far and would recommend using Regtons for both choice and advice.”
