About The Red Dog Company:

The Red Dog Company was born out of the quest for well-designed, high-quality, dog beds and accessories.

Our dogs work hard, whether in the field, or exercising the children. When they’re not out and about, the chances are they are in their beds, so it seems only fair to make them as comfortable as possible.

Nick and Chris are field sports enthusiasts, and self-confessed gear obsessives.

“Classic Mat. The title does not do this bed justice, it’s definitely more than a Mat. Major absolutely loves his bed and feel we have given him the best on the market. We had the size customised and the company could not have been more accommodating. Yes it is not cheap but I can assure you it’s worth every penny. We are now saving up to buy a second one to save carrying it upstairs every night.”

“We bought the large roll mat in cobalt blue with the natural coloured wool topper for our elderly Polish Lowland Sheepdog who sleeps a lot. The quality is exceptional both of the tweed and the natural British wool topper. It's really luxurious and our dog absolutely adores it. In fact she chooses it now over her orthopaedic bed and snuggles up on it. We have been so impressed that we have invested (deliberate use of that word because it is expensive but the quality will outstrip pounds per use) another one for another home so that she can enjoy it wherever she stays although it is easy to roll up, secure and transport and the option of a darker topper is perfect for a car crate for example where muddy/wet dogs are travelling. The whole mat is machine washable which was a huge plus for us in deciding to get one in the first place.”

“This bed has made our 12 year old arthritic collie very happy, she sleeps on it whenever she gets the chance, gets on and off much more easily, and comes away smelling of wool . I like the British wool and British made status and the bed seems of lasting quality.”

“Doris our elderly Labrador suffers with cruciate ligament problems and arthritis so needs a supportive bed that she can lay fully out stretched on. The dog mat in large is just perfect. It's beautifully made and the fabric used top quality the fact that you can buy replacement covers is a added bonus. Doris has loved it since it was unpacked and she can get up and down with ease. We are waiting for our 8 month old Labrador puppy to grow out of the chewing phase so he can have his own oval bed.”

“I’m bought a large green dog mat and a large orange roll mat for my Labrador, Hattie. Both mats are beautifully made and the colour of both tweed fabrics is gorgeous. Hattie finds both very comfortable and I am delighted with the appearance and with how much easier it was to travel for overnight stay using the roll mat. Great service too - very fast delivery. “Went for a bespoke size as the crate we have was just a little narrower than the large mat. It was delivered within 72 hrs of ordering and it's very good indeed. Looks great (Orange and grey). Feels hardwearing, the foam is firm yet supportive and the wool topper is soft and thick. Dog likes it and it certainly feels like it will last him a very long time. Sure, it's dearer than something from the high street, but it's made in England by craftsmen and it looks and feels it. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.”
