“'Onosmia', my loss of the sense for scent since Covid, and with something like 80% of taste being in the nose, and, from personal experience that can be 100% in some cases, I have had to favour the stronger punch of dark roasts, having lost the ability to appreciate the subtleties of light roasts. So, as far as reviews, I really can't comment on the subtleties of taste. However, this dark roast collection has tended to be a regular purchase as despite the loss of scent (my wife doesn't like me using the word 'smell'), I can still appreciate a good strong brew. With half a dozen different means for brewing, these dark roasts have also been appreciated filtered and 'camp style'. Another side effect of onosmia is that I have to be VERY careful when seasoning anything, tending to overdo it on ingredients like garlic and chilli. ;-) I miss that lost sense, no longer able to "wake up and smell the coffee", or to "stop and smell the roses", though I still appreciate coffee, hot or cold or as ice cream, and flowers will always raise a smile... Additianally, for customer service, the Ravers always earn every star I can give them...”
