“I've always said that I only enjoy dark-roasted coffee. And I've never really understood why anyone would want to drink coffee that tasted of lemon, or mango, or indeed any fruit! But I thought I ought to try a different style just to confirm or challenge my preconceptions. So, I bought this 'rare' variety which claimed, amonst other things, to taste like limoncello. Given that's a drink I rather like, this sounded worth a try. And, I have to say, I'm very glad I did. I still love the rich, smoky flavours of dark-roasted coffees, but this really did tast lemony in a pleasant and unusual way. Not quite so sure about the mango which my taste buds haven't really been able to detect. But overall, I'm liking the fresh flavour of this coffee, and have been forced to reconsider my previous prejudices. The beans are like bullets, though, and my hand coffee grinder is giving my biceps an unexpected workout...”
