“Brewed through AeroPress and enjoyed as a Café au Lait with a 16ml shot of vanilla (the way I drink every coffee), the Dark Side (Burundi Izuba) Nº 300 held up beautifully, offering a balanced cup with hints of chocolate.
I started this bag after the Light Side equivalent and loved it just as much. The darker roast brought a lovely richness that sat perfectly in my brew. As I said in my review of this year's Light side, I really enjoy being able to explore the same bean in different ways, and this darker roast solidified the success of the bean choice this year.
To my taste it was a 5/5 and a rich, chocolatey delight with a gentle sweetness upfront that never overwhelmed.
The coffee itself was fresh, well roasted and delivered quickly.”
