“Brewed through AeroPress and enjoyed as a Café au Lait with a 16ml shot of vanilla (the way I drink every coffee), the Light Side (Burundi Izuba) Nº 299 held up smoothly and pleasantly.
I tend to avoid too many light roasts as they often get hidden by the milk and vanilla, but I'm always intrigued by these different roast of the same bean comparisons. This one really pulled through as a light roast though, managing to retain clarity and presence even in a milk-forward cup.
To my taste it was a 4/5 and a brightness that shone through the smooth café au lait style.
The coffee itself was fresh, well roasted and delivered quickly.”
