“Brewed through AeroPress and enjoyed as a Café au Lait with a 16ml shot of vanilla (the way I drink every coffee), the Colombia Risaralda Nº 296 held up as a lovely sweet dark roast.
I love the slight fruitiness, which I (possibly incorrectly) associate with Colombian coffee, the darkness of the roast sits beautifully against that subtle sweet edge. It’s rich and rounded, with just enough brightness to keep things interesting.
To my taste it was a 4/5 and still that bit too sweet for my preparation, but really good all the same. I’m sure a more pure preparation would be delicious.
The coffee itself was fresh, well roasted and delivered quickly.”
