“Brewed through AeroPress and enjoyed as a Café au Lait with a 16ml shot of vanilla (the way I drink every coffee), the Colombia Finca Monteblanco Cold Wash Nº 271 held up as an all-round sweeter deal.
Being a light roast, there’s always the risk the flavour gets lost in my preparation method, but this one still came through with an identity. Though not sophisticated enough, my palate does pick up on the sweetness suggested in the tasting notes.
To my taste it was a 3/5 and a bit too sweet for my preparation, but with enough character to not feel disappointing. If you like a lighter blend, I can see this being a good one.
The coffee itself was fresh, well roasted and delivered quickly.”
