“After lots of research and watching many videos, I decided that the logical next upgrade for my espresso Home set up would be to invest in a fellow opus conical Burr grinder and wow, am I impressed. I use a DeLonghi dedica and bottomless Porter filter and this grinder can grind up my espresso to the perfect pour. I see a lot of people criticising retention. This is not something I struggle with at all. I don’t really know how people are prepping their espresso but when I do my espresso puck prep I get out what I put in honestly. Watch a James Hoffmann video and you’ll see the tricks. For the price I really recommend this amazing and stylish grinder.”
“This review is not a reflection of Rave, but for Fellow Opus. I will be in touch to return because I do not believe this does what it says on the tin. They claim “ anti-static technology to minimise retention” is a lie. The grinder, despite misting, hold so much of the grind beans.
You’re heavy tapping and banging to get the rest of the grind out. To avoid this you will end up having to buy a third party silicon hopper below just to pump.
I wouldn’t recommend. Pay a little more and invest in. Proper grinder”
