“Pains me to give a 2-star review here, as I SO wanted to like this for so many reasons. I was aware it divided opinion before I tasted it and as much as I have messed around with the grind, trying to get more out of it I'm just not sure the roast is right ie too heavy? Perhaps it's much better as espresso rather than for filter, as I'm using it?”

“Very strange coffee. I regularly order the East African (Kenya & Tanzania) dark/ medium roasts and find them perfect for both my manual espresso press and Mokka Pot as typically with African coffees you get a nice full body, low - lowish acidity and citrussy flavours shining through.
This one seems bland by comparison - body is weak/ non existent and tastes like an American filter drip! As my daughter says - it just doesnt bang!”
