As a former coffee addict recently forced to cut out caffeine for health reasons, I’ve been on a mission to find a decaf coffee that doesn’t taste bland, flat, or like it’s been left out for far too long. Sadly, most decafs I’ve tried—including supermarket options and even Nespresso pods—have fallen into that category, often leaving me unimpressed (and, in the case of pods, with a chemical aftertaste).
A friend recommended RAVE after I complained about the lack of decent decaf options, and I couldn’t be more grateful. RAVE’s decaf is in a league of its own—smooth, rich, and full of flavour. “I have been trying to get away from using instant decaff coffee as I really do find the taste insipid and am delighted to have found Rave's Swiss Water Decaf blend no.11.
At last I have a 'real' coffee, medium roast, that can be drunk black and has a very enjoyable rounded flavour, with little or no bitterness. Due to health and medical reasons I cannot have caffeine in any form and find this decaf roast does not affect me at all.
I have taken the opportunity of giving details of Rave decaf coffee to relatives that we visit, who always have stale and generally vile tasting granular decaf - in the meantime I take my Rave bag with me on visits. I generally use a cafetiere, but have found that the 'Brew Stick' I have, works really well with this grind of Rave coffee.
