“I stumbled on these purely by chance when my regular sticks were unavailable and I needed some on the quick. I think I must have tried every comparable pair in the rack but, slightly deterred by the price, I think I tried these last and instantly fell in love with them. Firstly, the actual feel of them is wonderful; I don't know what they're coated with but it feels great to the touch. Next up, the balance is superb; considering they're 5Bs, they are very well balanced, I think due to the long taper throwing a lot more of the weight of the stick towards the back, and the control is excellent! The teardrop acorn also produces some fabulous sticking, especially on cymbal ride patterns. Finally, due to the flame burnt finish, it makes the timber stronger and give them the feel of oak, however they have the spring of hickory. I'm told that the burning process actually strengthens the wood and makes them much more durable; theoretically, they'll last much longer, supposedly cancelling out the price. We'll see. All in all, an absolute winner and these are my new new favourites and long may they reign!”
