Great addition if you're looking to reduce the amount of stands required for what would need to be a small cymbal/splash. I have a small piece of cloth in the clamp to protect the hoops, as mine are nickel coated on the kit, and gold plate/anodized on snare, and with first use, there was noticeable (to me) mark's from the clamp, but no issue with the cloth. I'd hope to see rubberised contacts points for the clamp in future. I would have like the arm to be taller, by another half. Very sleek looking design, very simple and strong but that's to be expected from Tama. Limited placement in some respects as no tilter. But as pictured, does suit better on floor toms or snare, or other Tom's depending on your particular set up. Another feature I'd be pleased to see. However, similar diameter stands, eg Roadpro boom arms with tilters fit, so height/tilt can be achieved. It reassuringly tightens with no more than an 8th of a turn from finger tight, so you shouldn't worry about having to tighten the hell out of it, providing appropriate use/cymbal. Overall, it's a great addition to the kit and I was able to lighten the load I take by one full stand. Would definitely recommend.
