“I don't know what I expected but I guess I can't complain too much for the price. They don't just 'dull' the sound, they completely eliminate the sound. Which I'm not complaining, I couldn't have come up with anything better. Now my cymbals are just like two rubber pads on a pole. At least the Evans soundoff skins give it a drum feel and a light drum sound. For the gel dampers I think cutting up an old bike tyre and glueing strips to the cymbal would sound as good. They do a job!”
