“Bought for a 'gong' bass drum - a drum for recording: the idea was to stop using a drum machine (an Alesis SR-16) and to use real drums instead. I picked this skin because I wanted a warm sound, and it delivers exactly that. Furthermore, it's very resonant, with a clear fundamental tone (exactly what I was after) - since I'm playing it by hand then I can damp the skin if damping is needed. All in all: superb.”
