Bed Wedge - Acid Reflux Reviews

4.6 Rating 510 Reviews
The 36” wedge with memory foam is really much more comfortable than I expected. I have a bad lower back and thought that being tipped a bit would put more strain on my hips. The wedge has made no difference to my lower back and certainly has made waking up from acid reflux a thing of the past. It’s comfortable and cool.

I was sceptical about this but after reading reviews, decided to try it and since using it, I haven’t had any reflux whilst sleeping. I found you can’t use too large of a pillow on top of this, but my other Putnam pillow works well. Also, I did find it can slip unless you put it under the fitted bottom sheet, which I’ve done. It is quite large so the fitted sheet barely fits over the pillow but it works. So, bottom line, I am very happy with the purchase and recommend it.

A very good buy. It has made a big difference to my sleeping position since my operation. I can now sleep in a more comfortable way since buying the bed wedge and have a much better nights sleep. Would definitely recommend it for anyone who has had a oesophageal operation.

I purchased this wedge pillow after reading great reviews about it. Puttnams were prompt and efficient and I will certainly use and recommend you again.

Great pillow. Sleeping so much better. I bought it as I get vertigo and need to sleep slightly elevated but as I also have a back problem sleeping on 2 normal pillows didn’t work. This wedge pillow is long so supports my back and elevated enough but not too high for my vertigo. It’s great. I’m going to order another one for my partner who has acid reflux. Definitely worth the cost and the bit extra for the memoy foam one

I bought this wedge to alleviate the symptoms of acid reflux, which admittedly were not particularly severe. I've been using it for a week now and have found it effective; while I still wake up with the sensation of a lump at the back of my throat, it is less noticeable than before, and I no longer have the occasional problem of waking during the night with a coughing fit induced by an incoming tide of reflux reaching the back of my throat. I have found the shape and texture of the wedge comfortable and, although there is an inevitable tendency to slide down it during the night, this is minimal and doesn't appear to reduce its effectiveness.

Having had an oesophagectomy about 9 years ago now, one of my biggest issues was waking up choking and coughing on bile and acid in my throat. I used to sleep propped up on pillows but always slipped down and then the trouble started. I bit the bullet when I saw the ad in the OPA newsletter and I can believe the difference it has made. I haven’t had a single bad night since it’s arrival and I can’t believe how such a small investment can make such a huge difference. I bought 2 as we have a camper van and I wanted to leave one in there. The 36 inch wide wedge now has pride of place on top of the mattress beneath the sheet, and the 24 inch wedge is in the camper waiting for the next trip. I am amazed that such a small investment can make such a difference to my quality of life. I am even considering purchasing another one for my suitcase as I travel a lot with work. As a sprightly 54 year old there’s plenty of life in the old dog yet... Thank you Putnams for the opportunity to improve my life
