I have Gastro Oesophageal Reflux Disease, Hiatus hernia and Barrett’s oesophagus. Even with medication I was having problems with reflux at night, effecting my sleep. This mattress wedge seemed to be the best way of creating elevation without resorting to bricks under the bed head, though as I have a divan that would not have worked. I found the wedge has improved my sleep once I got used to the slope, which didn’t take long, with much reduced reflux symptoms.

It does what it says on the tin. The item was delivered shortly after order. Bit fiddely to get in cover but not too difficult. Sleeping position initially feels odd but you quickly get used to it.

Bought this mattress mainly to help with my reflux and it certainly does help. It also reduces my husband’s snoring from a regular score on SnoreLab of 45 down to 10 or less - peaceful nights at last. Took some getting used to - almost needed steps to get into bed, but feel it will prove to be worth every penny.

I purchased the Royal Extra Pillow version of the Memory Foam Pillows and it's five stars from me! I often have neck pain because of scoliosis of my spine and have wasted so much money on pillows which promised a lot and then failed to deliver relief for me, so I was nervous about trying yet another rather expensive one. I wasn't at all sure when it arrived and I first set it up on the bed either, as it was a lot firmer than I'd expected and very contoured. It felt very firm indeed when I first laid my head on it too, but I quickly fell asleep and slept very well, waking with no neck pain in the morning. Now, a week later, my initial feeling when I lay down is still that the pillow is very firm, but that feeling soon passes. It doesn't affect my sleep in the slightest and I'm amazed how little neck pain I've had since. Finally, I seem to have found a pillow that helps my neck and a company which lives up to its promises. Thank you, Putnams!

I have scoliosis of my spine and couldn't get on with the shorter pillow wedges which work for some people who have acid reflux, so I was delighted when I found I could buy a full mattress wedge back in May. I still have to watch what I eat of an evening, but this full mattress wedge means I have far less of the over the counter medication now, which I'm really pleased about and I am getting a better night's sleep most nights too. It was a bit difficult putting the double mattress wedge together on my own, because it is fiddly getting two pieces of foam in place and our mattress was very heavy to take off the bed and then put back on top of the assembled wedge, but I managed it without too many problems. My husband had been using a pillow wedge for his breathing problems, but finds the full length wedge works better for him too, so we're both happy and are very pleased we purchased it.
