The matress is nice no problem sleeping. One thing I wonder if this can cause deep vein trombosis long term as the legs are constantly below the heart. Would be good to get Putnams to mention whether this has been explored. It is also quite smelly so I am wondering if it has been treated with unhealthy chemicals (I kept it wrapped up but you can still tell it will be smelly once unwrapped from plastic cover).

Excellent product - does exactly what it was intended. I was pleased to find that my mattress does not slip down the slope of the wedge. Stops the back pain associated with the shorter wedges and means that you can still lie flat but are tilted to reduce reflux. Wish I had got this years ago! What did this product help heal or comfort? Acid reflux & vertigo
Early days of use but so far seems to work pretty well. My wife hasn't had a bout of reflux and currently no issue with vertigo. It feels a bit strange initially but we soon adjusted and now it just seems normal.

I REALLY wish I could have kept this tilter but sadly I couldn’t. I can’t fault the service, fast delivery and very well packed. Good, sturdy tilter, BUT, oh my goodness the chemical smell was unbearable. Not sure what has been sprayed on it or what it was made from but my word the chemical smell took over the house. In the end we had to shut it in an unused room with the windows open to try and air it for a few days but it still had the strong chemical smell. There was no way I could sleep with that and I have lung problems too. My husband doesn’t have a very good sense of smell and he spent a short amount of time in the room and even he came out with his eyes stinging! I don’t know if mine was a dodgy tilter or not but I don’t know how anyone could use it like that. Shame as it could have helped me.

Love this bed wedge, my partner and I were slightly concerned that we may struggle to sleep at an angle but we have had no issues with that. But just be aware that it's not a miracle cure and you can still get symptoms despite the support this bed wedge provides

This undermatress wedge is brilliant. For more than five years before I discovered it, I slept with wedge pillows, and couldn't stand it any longer; when sleeping on my side, the angle of the wedge forced my hips to bear most of my upper body weight because that is what wedge pillows do. They lift your torso at an angle, which begins at the hip. This is inherently an unnatural position, and predictably, I suffered with chronic hip pain and joint inflammation. As is often the case, one solves a problem (GERD/Reflux issues) and the solution creates another problem. I've been using the full length under-matress wedge for months now, and the hip pain is largely gone. More than that, I am married, and for the first time in years, I and my spouse lay down together without being separated by a veritable "cliff," where I am up the mountain and he is below. Also, I had forgotten how good it feels to lay naturally flat when I sleep. The wedge angles up from the feet to the head, which gradually and comfortably places the body in an optimal position to control my health issue. But strangely, it doesn't feel as if I am on an angle. It feels as if I am laying flat. Fantastic. Its nice to have that again. I sleep better, we sleep better, and I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Last thing, the advertisement shows clearly the full-lenth of the wedge under a matress. If I could, I'd post a photo of our super king bed. In actual use, the wedge is not visible at all. The sheets and blanket drape nicely over each bedside and completely hide it. I can appreciate Putnams' desire to be candid by showing the product without hiding it. The fact is that because the matress angles gradually up, when it is actually used, the bed linen easily hides it. This is my way of saying that I was initially concerned with the radical appearance in Putnams' photo. But in actual use, it isn't radical at all. And it provides comfort, while simultaneously providing noticeable health benefits, not to mention that it allows greater intimate communication between life partners.
