Centrecoat R11 Salt Neutralizer Concentrate is a powerful efflorescence remover that does not require neutrilsation after use.

Best Uses

Centrecoat R11 Salt Neutralizer Concentrate is efficient in removing cement, concrete and mineral deposits by de-structuring cement and mineral deposits on all substrates. This product is far less hazardous than citric, hydrochloric and phosphoric acid based products. Formulated as a consequence of increasing demands put on users in terms of safety, compliance, impact on the environment and sustaining treated substrates, unlike traditional acid products. Not classified as corrosive and is biodegradable and totally inert to all surfaces (does not damage glass, metal and plastic, and is noncorrosive).

Capable of removing cement, concrete and mineral deposits on fragile substrates such as metal (including steel and aluminium), glass, rubber and gloss paints, without changing their appearance. Ideal for mineral substrates and does not change the surface porosity.

Application

Always test apply on a small hidden portion of the substrate before applying. Centrecoat R11 Salt Neutralizer Concentrate is a concentrate and requires water to be added as appropriate. Shake the container well before use. Apply using a low pressure hand spray unit or brush. Allow the product act for 5 to 30 minutes (the time required varies depending on the size of the laitance and the thickness of the material deposits being removed). Rinse the entire substrate with a high pressure washer once the material deposits have softened. Otherwise, brush off using a thick bristle broom, and then rinse with water from a hosepipe whilst brushing at the same time. Avoid allowing the product to dry prior to rinsing.

Hi Terry, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have had a bad experience with this product. The purpose of the R11 Salt Neutraliser is to draw all of the salt out from the substrate, therefore, the surface can initially look worse as the salt is brought to the surface. To achieve the best results, it is important to continue applying the Salt Neutraliser until all of the salt has been drawn out. If you would like additional advice on your particular project our Technical Team will be glad to help and answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to contact us on 01462 421333 and we will be glad to assist you further.

Having tried out the product 3 times on a section of brick wall the efflorescence is now more noticeable than it was. There has never been any sign of damp inside the house but having had some resin bound landscaping done adjacent to this wall, the efflorescence is unsightly and I had hoped to remove it. I have increased the concentration which certainly brings out the milky stain but rinsing it and scrubbing with water has no effect. It just reappears as soon as it dries out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
