“Mare’s tail has been the bane of our lives since moving into our new build. However this stuff really works. We are using Kurtail evo in the borders and the brushwood weed control on the lawn. The mares tail dies very quickly in the border though I retreat it weekly as it’s very persistent. The brushwood killer takes longer to show signs it’s working but doesn’t kill the grass which is great. Expensive stuff but it’s the only thing I’ve tried that works. You get what you pay for!”

“I was very pleased with this product, it gets rid of the Marestail weed, I had my lawn taken up and gravel put down, As soon as I see it coming back I spray, and it gone. Thank you.”

“This is the second time I have bought this product. The first was for my daughter to get rid of a serious case of horsetail and it worked really really well which was amazing as it is a very difficult weed to get rid of. I've now bought this product to get rid of woody weeds around the garden. It is great to use a product that you can have confidence in that it will do the job, in particular I like the fact that it doesn't kill the grass so sometimes just whizz it over the lawn as well as it is so effective on the weeds.”

Thankyou for the feedback Mr Peters. SBK has been a staple in many gardeners weed control armoury because it specialises in tough, often woody weeds. We have now tested it against the worst weed of all; horsetail, or Marestail and it works very well. Incomplete or unsatisfactory control usually stems from confusion over dilution rates or some interference in good application technique – such as bad mixing, insufficient spray volume on each weed, using too fine or too coarse a spray quality and spraying in short weather windows. There is also weed resistance to chemical sprays when they are in full flower or in senescence and dying back naturally (as is the case with most herbaceous perennial woody weeds).
