Dear Peter. Thanks for your feedback. Mac Hi Power is the strongest concentration of quarternary ammonium chloride on the market. In the instructions it does state best used in temperatures above 8 degrees celsius. Obviously November applications are usually at the end of the application season. In spite of the later than advised application, you mention it has still controlled moss and algae. The product is also effective on lichen, but even under correct application conditions, lichen will take a number of months to die and peel up. This gentle, yet thorough kill will ensure the product does not damage hard surfaces in any way. You will also see surfaces continuing to get cleaner and cleaner many months after application. “Not done well moss still on drive not sure if my dilution was right but sure it was. Weather was also dry for a few days when did it so not sure why it did not work.”

Hi Ross, thanks for leaving a review. Moss control at this time of year can take from 7 – 28 days dependent on weather, bio-load rates and application so this may be why you have not seen results as yet. However to reassure you a large number of our customers have received excellent results with this product and it continues to prove to be very popular. The key as you say is to make sure when you apply it that the area is fully wetted/drenched. Dilution rates do vary dependent on the time of year you use this product. If you have really challenging situation and/ or also porous surfaces it also helps to increase the rates by 20%. Thanks, The ProGreen Team
