“I have a serious problem in my paddocks with creeping buttercups. I had hoped this product would kill them off, but after two sprays, new buttercup growth is coming through.”

Hi there Brenda, Envy does a particularly good job where buttercup is concerned, however unfortunately it won't prevent brand new growth. Envy is a systemic weed killer and requires foliage in order to be drawn down to the root system. Things like pre-emerged seeds or seeds sat on the surface of the soil, are inaccessible to the weed killer. Therefore the weed itself would need to be present in order for it to be treated. Efficient use at the correct time of year should limit the re-seeding of the plant for future reference. I hope this helps. Kind regards, Progreen

“I have no problem with the product being a licensed professional myself. What I do have an issue with is it is sold to Jo Public. All they have to do is tick a box saying they are a professional and the company send out the product. In my opinion DEFRA need to stop this being allowed and only be able to sell to professionals. I know if so many people who overdose the products because they haven’t been trained to use them. It makes you wonder why you spend all the money on the training courses.”
