A tree stump technique releasing glyphosate for the treatment of stumps to minimise root and stump sprouting.Ecoplugs are a unique product that is designed to minimise operator hazards and provide a safe alternative to painting cut stumps with a liquid solution. Best Glyphosate Tree Stump Killer Key points: Ecoplug Max is proven to have a 95 – 100% success rate on preventing tree stump regrowth Easy to use – drill a 13 mm hole approx. 30-35 mm deep and place ecoplugs every 6-8 cm around the outside of the stump Also available - purpose-made drillbit for easy application – simply hammer the ecoplug into the drilled hole Ideal for stumps of all broad-leaved trees Ecoplug uses the tree sap to dissolve the granular glyphosate. Works best on freshly cut stumps Ideal for buttress roots protruding above ground, e.g. tree of heaven Successfully prevents re-growth or ‘suckers’ sprouting in the following season after application Glyphosate in Ecoplug Max does not accumulate in the soil Ecoplugs may be supplied with white-coloured or purple-coloured plastic sheaths - no difference in efficacy Application notes and guidance:Natural surfaces not intended to bear vegetation, permeable surfaces overlying soil, hard surfaces, all situations. Recommended safety clothing / PPE as per the MSDS; protective gloves, eye protection Need more information on how to get rid of tree stumps? Read our handy guide or contact our experts today. The poison was poorly and incorrectly packaged for transit resulting in the ecoplugs arriving damaged. Both the parcel and packaging was also compromised resulting in everyone who handled the unopened packaging being exposed to airborn Glyphosate powder. The company are not fussed so I have reported this through gov.uk as it really is a matter for them.

Hi Matthew, We are very sorry to hear that you received your product in this condition, this is not how we expect any of our goods to be received by any of our customers. In the photo you sent over to us it does certainly look like one or more of the ecoplugs have become compromised in the box and allowed the granular glyphosate to leave the plug. The granules were all contained within the ziplock bag, and they were in the white box that they are packaged in. In addition to this, they were contained within a secondary box for postage and packaging purposes. At no point was anyone exposed throughout the delivery process to the granules contained in the bag. Being a PA6PP certified user, I’m sure that when you received the product and discovered it in this condition that you immediately put on PPE and securely stored the product in a chemical safe until it could be dealt with to minimise exposure. Whilst we agree with you entirely that chemicals need to be treated with respect and seriousness, glyphosate has a lower acute toxicity to humans than 94% of all herbicides, and many common household chemicals, including vinegar and table salt. There are no hazard symbols on the box, and if you refer to the safety data sheet you will find the following: Classification according to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 [CLP] (manufacturer self-classification) Not classified as dangerous. This of course does not excuse the condition that your package has arrived in, and I assure you that we do take handling of chemicals extremely seriously. We raised your issue with the supplier immediately and I would be interested to know what condition the box arrived in from the courier. We have attempted to contact you on several occasions, but we unfortunately have been able to make contact to allow us to rectify this issue. If you could please give us a call on 01778 394052 to speak further, we are keen to resolve this, including a refund or replacement of the damaged item. Kind regards, The Progreen Team

I bought this excellent product,at a good price, for my friend to kill off sycamore stumps as her beloved horse ate some of the leaves and died. She's not taking any chances with her other horses. Many thanks.

A really simple and safe way to apply concentrated Glyphosate to felled tree stumps but too early to say that it has been a complete success first time round
