“Initial results were promising, but mosss growth has returned less than a month on from application, this despite following the application instructions to the letter. The product claim is to kill moss and keep the surface free of algae and moss for weeks or months. In this respect it falls well short sadly.”

Dear Colin, Sorry you have not enjoyed success with Algoclear PRO. It has terrific feedback and is a staple of most peoples treatments on slippery or green hard surfaces. Algoclear PRO can have some residual action but it does depend on the porosity of the surface being sprayed. Porous concrete roof tiles in our trials have shown a clear difference against untreated tiles over a year later, whereas smooth paving will not. We are careful not to suggest it will stop moss & algae coming back – our online listing has the following sentence: "AlgoClear can also have some residual benefits preventing slippery green growths from quickly returning. Improving localised conditions where moss & algae can grow will also deter their return; improve airflow, reduce shading, improve drainage, etc". “I’m not at all happy with this product. I have sprayed the tennis court twice using the correct solution and it has not cleared the moss or algae. Very disappointing for the amount of money spent”

Nice to talk to you Trevor. Although most of the green has gone brown, the Algoclear may need a bit more time to work on the thicker patches. Where the green patches are thicker they require more dilute spray on them than the thinner algae areas. We will keep in contact and look forward to an update shortly. Good luck with the golf..!

“The algoclear may seem expensive but it will last for a very long time I've never used any other products for controlling the liver wart and never would as this product is perfect”

“Very good product long lasting results,we use on tennis courts and the moss is kept away for long periods.there is staining which is also a bonus. Other uses are on hard standing surfaces to keep algae down . It is not the cheapest around but it gives very good coverage and I find it economical to use.have been buying this product for a number of years.”

“I used AlgoClear last season and found it totally ineffective. This year I upgraded to AlgoClear Pro and prepared the block paving properly - scraped off the surface moss and algae and allowed the base level of moss to dry out somewhat before thoroughly wetting it with the product. That was last month. I can already see bright green new algae in the cracks. I'm not sure the high cost of the Pro version was worth it”

“Well three weeks in and no results so far. Followed the directions. Took before and after pictures. Spoke to others that have used other products and so far there is absolutely no difference to the roof. Very disappointed. Not a cheap product by any means. Back to the drawing board.”
